A classically designed open Canadian canoe, the Reflection is feature packed and exceptional value. The Reflection comes standard with three contoured (for comfort) seats with integral buoyancy, foam padded backrests, easy grab handles each end, keel rib for increased rigidity and two paddles. The inclusion of the foam padded backrests for each seat improves paddling posture, protecting the lower back of the paddler and allowing more time and enjoyment in the canoe.

One person can comfortably paddle the Reflection from the centre seat. Its multi-chine hull provides exceptional initial and secondary stability, and Swedeform hull shape allows extra load carrying capacity in the rear for single paddler or bracket mounted outboard, whilst maintaining excellent paddling speed and manoeuvrability. The tumblehome sides allow extra width and therefore stability without compromising paddle stroke. 

The latest addition to the Finn range is the Reflection Canoe, a model dealing in the strengths of flexibility and leisure paddlecraft. Its final fitout includes 3 contoured seats with intergral bouyancy, carry handles located at each end of the craft and two paddles. Along with this, a range of optional extra customisation is available, including rear bulkhead and hatch configuration ($150), outboard brackets ($100.00ea), single outrigger ($160.00) and double outrigger ($320.00).

Please Note:

The outboard bracket mounts are offset from the centerline for the following reasons -

1. The craft is faster and more economical under power

2. The craft steers better under power

Actual experience has proven that an off-center propellor increases the speed and economy from ten to twenty percent over a centerline propellor. The reason for this is that, as a vessel passes through the water, she gathers up a swirl of eddies caused by skin resistance, and under the stern at the centerline considerable water is following along with the vessel. Now, if you place your propellor in this wake and upset it's natural eddies which are decreasing surface resistance, and put in its place a propellor slip stream going thirty percent faster than the vessel, then you will probably increase the total resistance some fifteen percent. To check on this, ask some ex-skipper of one of the World War II 110-footers how his center engine compared with his wing engines for power!
